Women’s Equality: 1

I often wonder how many women are aware that in the thirteenth century Thomas Aquinas Christianized Aristotle’s pagan writings, including his diabolical ideas about women. Clergy even wondered whether a woman had a soul.

For example, that ancient Greek philosopher claimed that women were inferior to men because women had fewer teeth.  A dentist assured me that men and women have the same number of teeth.  However, some pregnant women lose teeth because their fetus has absorbed most of the mother’s in-take of calcium.  (Please see pages 88 through106.)

These ideas have now been denounced, but their influence concerning women still taint some theologies and thus slow the progress of women not only in religious institutions but also in society in general.
