The following is another passage in the Epilogue of my book Championing Womanhood:
To think that the past does not influence the present is to live in the Adamic mist with its confusing consequences. Collect all the ancient superstitions and fears pertaining to blood and the woman’s menstruation, all the Aristotelian notions, prejudices, and arrogance about women and the influences of those on Christianity, all the general arrogance based upon the apparent psychological need to believe some others inferior, in this case, women, so as to promote one’s own self-esteem. Then stuff all these fascinations and falsehoods into a coffin and “nail” it shut with solidified, thus reinforced tampons.
Next, bury it …
Let the eulogy with joyous tears begin!
Dust to dust.
As the dirt covers over the last remains, let the spiritual officiary read the words of Elohim: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. … And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good” (Gen. 1: 27, 31).
