The following is a passage in the Epilogue of my book Championing Womanhood:
Say that two football teams arrive at the Super Bowl rated with an equal chance of winning. Although equal, the two come with different strengths and different weaknesses, with their various ups and downs during the season. Likewise, men and women come into the gender super bowl with their different strengths and their different weaknesses. The big difference between the football and gender super bowls is that, if men and women can emerge as diverse but equal players on the same team, they will win the super bowl of life.
The level of masculine stability in a society or culture can be measured by the level of feminine importance in the masculine thought. If there is a balance in importance, the masculine character is strong. But if the feminine is subdued, then the masculine macho is psychologically weaker and not as stable, even though men in their state of instability actually believe that they are the ones who are stable! Oh, the irony!
