In addition, as we can see from the many examples at the end of this chapter, Paul named many women who were leaders in his churches. He even honored a married couple, Priscilla and Aquilla, mentioning her name first, a sign that she probably was the greater of the two in Christ’s work. One of the important things a Christian woman today must consider before marrying is the ego and stability of the man. One cannot marry, hoping the spouse will change. She must ask herself beforehand, will he dominate her or treat her as being inferior, or will this be a union where two individuals can grow together without jealousy and condemnation, “for ye are all one in Christ Jesus”?
