Women’s Equality: 21

GOD is TRUTH, Part 2

*******

So how does what these men of authority who have written about God as Truth relate

to how we view women?

*******

Thomas Aquinas, for the most part, was brilliant in expressing theology, but his views of women were contaminated by ancient Greek mythology, especially, Aristotle’s works.  He began his theological studies in Paris in 1245 under the master Albert the Great (1206-1280).  The complete works of Aristotle had been lost until recently then discovered in Arabic.  Albert became the champion of Aristotle, and Thomas, his most able student, followed suit, taking the Greek philosopher’s ideas, including those about women, and Christianizing them.  Corrupted Christianity moved from Christ’s idea of women (and Plato’s, as adopted by St. Augustine 800 years before Aquinas) to Aristotle’s diabolical views of females.  Under Aristotelian Christianity, whatever happened to the image and likeness of Elohim in Genesis 1?

Since Aristotle’s views still permeate much of Christianity, many men are drunk from drinking the blood of this ancient Greek philosopher.  Others who have stopped sipping the cup of Aristotle are confused from their hangover.  A few have found the cup and the bread from Truth’s table.

The fact is that Truth unveils Its image and likeness to anyone who manifests the qualities of Truth.  With myths and superstitions set aside, the truth is that anyone living in the great heart of Truth is living the image and likeness of Truth and receives Truth’s birthright. Cannot both men and women labor in the harvest fields of Truth, reaping the qualities of Truth?
