Daniel 12, Part II

Now, for one of the greatest prophecies in all the Bible! In Daniel 12:7 the personification of Purity from Daniel 10 was now standing directly on the waters of Hiddekel, the Word of God. Also, Daniel saw two witnesses on the opposite shores of the Word of God:
5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
These two, not standing on the waters, but on opposite shores of the river, appeared to be two witnesses to the prophecy of the impersonal Christ standing on the waters. (The reader must remember that John, in Revelation 11, described these two in Daniel as “two witnesses” [verse 3], as “the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth” [verse 4], and as “two prophets” [verse 10]. If prophets, then they were humans.
