GENDER EQUALITY REFERENCES, Part I

*******

John in Revelation 9:21, “Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” If in the divine, both the bride-wife and the Lamb are righteousness or purity, then they both are equated or the same. Thus, humans in the Tabernacle of God with men in the latter days must reflect the divine in a gender-equality society, the qualities of both masculine and feminine equally valued in each individual.

John in Revelation appeared to bring forth the feminine element from the Old Testament, either from Isaiah, Jeremiah, or Micah or from any combination of these or from his own spiritual intuition.   The feminine touch in these three Old Testament books is of feminine strength.

Opposite of false concepts of macho-male; instead expressing feminine aspects as in Zechariah, Micah, and Revelation, Jeremiah called “The Lord Our Righteousness” both he and she in his prophecies of the two comings of the Christ.  Certainly, Jeremiah’s use of he in reference to the First Advent (23:6) and she at the Second Advent (33:16) involve gender, both the masculine and feminine elements in the human experience who would manifest the divine righteousness or purity, the impersonal Christ.

Zechariah’s prophecy that the Branch “shall build the temple of the Lord,” one can safely, biblically predict that the final sanctuary seen by Daniel would be built by “The Lord our righteousness” with a feminine element at the Second Advent of the Christ.

Can it be that that “she” at the Second Advent actually was going to be a woman? The present writer, who has acknowledged a feminine aspect at the Advent in the end of days, finds this question intriguing because, if true, much of current Christian theology would find itself in an earthquake high on the Richter scale.
