Bible Prophecies: 33

DANIEL’S PROPHECY OF THE SANCTUARY, PART II

(Daniel 8)

*******

We continue with more on the sanctuary from Chapter XI.

Subsequently, Daniel sought to know when the sanctuary was going to be restored. The 2300 prophetic days stood for 2300 years, which pointed to a long wait, to the time at the end of days (when all these prophecies pertaining to the Second Coming of Christ were going to be fulfilled).

Faber* reasoned that the messenger at the Second Coming of Christ would be the one rebuilding the temple and cleansing it. Perhaps this would include cleaning out some old doctrines cluttering theology and restoring the sanctuary’s service.

***

The sanctuary will come forth like the Ulai River, whose waters mean “pure waters,” purity or righteousness’ being the Old Testament idea of the Christ.

But one might say and ask, “Daniel is of the habit of giving his readers specific data about the prophecies!  Is there not some specific date to start the countdown instead of just ‘a time frame’?” Yes, there is; however, it is buried in Daniel’s next chapter in his prophecy giving the exact year the Messiah was going to begin his ministry and the exact year he was going to be crucified! So next is the two prophecies of the First Advent, and then in the following chapter herein, the untangling the date for the sanctuary.

Is not it wonderful to express patience!
