Women’s Equality: 13

GOD is SOUL.

Elohim not only has had to face down the idea of an anthropomorphic god.  A pantheistic Greek philosophical god evolved known by the expression, “God is the soul of the world.”  Marcus Varro (116-27? BCE), a Roman scholar and writer, along with others, brought this philosophy to Rome. (Chapter I)

Whereas writers such as William James advocate the ancient idea of God as “the soul of the world,” hints of this Greek philosophy can be found in the treatment of nature by the British romantic poets such as Samuel Taylor Coleridge of the early nineteenth-century and by the American transcendentalists, Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson, Margaret Fuller, and Louisa May Alcott, as well as in the blockbuster movie Avatar.

The writer has an essay titled “WHO AND WHAT IS GOD?”  Several paragraphs down, the writer switches to all capitals in the answer: “WELL, TO BEGIN, GOD IS SOUL, AND SOUL IS GOD.  NOT THE SOUL THAT IS IN CREATED MAN, BUT THE SOUL THAT IS DEITY AND SELF-EXISTENT, WITHOUT BEGINNING OR ENDING, AND WHOSE ENTITY IS THE ONE GREAT FACT IN THE UNIVERSE OF BEING.” http://www.divinelove.org/WHO-AND-WHAT-IS-GOD-

What are some of the Soul qualities expressible by both men and women?  Here are a few to consider:  agility, balance, beauty, calmness, cleanliness, compatibility, composure, creativity, elasticity, expression, eloquence, emotional stability, grace, graciousness, harmony, holiness, joy, identity, immortality (of spiritual self), individuality, innocence, inspiration, morality, musicality, nobility, peace, perfection, poise, purity, rhythm, self-control, serenity, sinlessness, spiritual sense, stillness, sweetness, tranquility, uniqueness, and so on through infinity.  Cannot both sexes labor in the harvest fields of Soul, reaping the qualities of Soul?
